Cultivating Inner Peace

It is important to remain unruffled at all times, creating a general state of inner peace. Once we have created a solid base of inner peace, even when we find ourselves veering away from peace and into anger, frustration, or anxiety, using inner peace quotes as reminders can help us steer ourselves gently back to our peaceful center.

Some of my favorite inner peace quotes focus on the keys to creating the serenity we crave. Some of the values and habits that we need to develop in our quest for peace of mind are forgiveness, simplification, acceptance, compassion, and patience, as these following inner peace quotes illustrate.

"Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions." Gerald Jampolsky

"The simplification of life is one of the steps to inner peace. A persistent simplification will create an inner and outer well-being that places harmony in one's life." Peace Pilgrim

“Acceptance of others, their looks, their behaviors, their beliefs, brings you an inner peace and tranquillity - instead of anger and resentment.” Author Unknown

“One of the secrets of inner peace is the practice of compassion.” The Dalai Lama

Other inner peace quotes encourage letting go of the desire to control everything around us, and slowing down as ways of attaining inner peace.

Raymond Hull reminds us of the importance of positive action in creating inner peace. He tells us, “Peace of mind is attained not by ignoring problems, but by solving them.”

Mother Teresa’s advice for experiencing peace and happiness is to live fully in the present moment. “Be happy in the moment - that's enough. Each moment is all we need - not more.”

The following inner peace quotes center how important it is to find peace within ourselves, and how inner peace can radiate out from us into the world we live in.

"When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others." Peace Pilgrim

The next two quotes point out the pitfalls that come from a lack of serenity within ourselves. As Henri Frederic Arnier tells us, internal discontent leads to unhappiness with our surroundings and with those around us. “We are never more discontented with others than when we are discontented with ourselves.”

Paramahansa Yogananda states that without inner peace, regardless of how much wealth we may have, we will be unable to truly enjoy our material success. "Possession of material riches, without inner peace, is like dying of thirst while bathing in a lake."

These final two inner peace quotes offer beautiful descriptions of the fact that inner peace is not something we need to seek, but rather something that we can discover within ourselves by choosing to still our minds and descend into the rich and tranquil landscape of our inner beings.

I have a song deep in my heart. I do and it is beautiful:  I love you. I am love. I am light. I am peace. I am that I am. We are one. Just smile and shine. I hear it everyday and I am shinning bright. I find love and peace from within. I am fearless and alive with God living inside. How beautiful and magical life can be if you can listen to your heartsong:. I understand that there is so much turmoils and deception in life which make you weary. Yet just quiet your mind and listen hard to your beautiful heartsong. Mattie Stepanek was a special young man born with a rare form of MD, which is short for Muscular Dystrophy, it robbed him of his mobility and eventually it robbed him of his life, but as you can see from reading his poem, it did not rob him of his love for life and the people in it. He was a very talented young man who actually became a published author and inspired disabled and non-disabled people alike. He caught the attention of Oprah Winfrey and appeared on her show several times. He was a very sweet, creative and loving young man.

♥Feel The Life Magic♥

Today I had Chinese worship service which takes place on every first and third Sunday of each month. I did not drive but had a twenty minutes walk down to the town centre. It was sunny and hot with max 24*C. I saw many British man with naked top in the park relaxing, having picnic or playing throw and catch with kids. What a lovely scene! Some friends did not come to church today because of an alternative BBQ function being organised by a Chinese organization. People are really enjoying the summer here. After all it is the best season with lots of sunshine and cool temperature. The weeds and grass in my backyard thrive too. Yet they have been giving me a hard time. The second project on my wish list is to make my front and rear garden pretty and easier to manage so as to add more beauty in my life. I wish you a blissfully beautiful day and new week! Crying In Joy and Laughing In Pain

Today Samling, a church lady invited the bible study group, some Chinese friends and students to have a lunch sharing at her house. It was a beautiful sunny day. We had a great time in the garden enjoying the sun and having leisure talk around. Joyce took her baby and family there. He is four and a half months old, a big cute little baby and he loves me holding him (((^-^))). Joyce said he must have recognised me for having taken care of him in the first five weeks. Yeah I do have some bonding with him. It is awesome to feel love, to love and be loved.  I am so blessed, loved and grateful for all the things I experienced in my life, whether good or bad, just made who I am. Muriel said it so well "It is really easy to cry in pain and easy to laugh in joy, but crying in joy and laughing in pain shows real spirit."
