Dream Dream Dream

Today I had a wonderful day studying the words of God in a bible study lady group. We have it every second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the early afternoon. After the bible study, I bought some food and drove Peggy home. She invited me to have some tea which is a very special Chinese tea (Yeng Seng Tea) and I helped her download all the photos I uploaded on my blog here regarding the visit to her house last time. She is a very nice old lady, a retired midwife. It reminded me of my best friend in school, who is a midwife too. Some old memory comes back. I have been a student nurse for one year. I had my first true experience facing death, a dead body that I wrapped it up like a sweet. That night after that the after noon shift, no one was at the nurse quarter. It was the first time that I slept alone and I had all the lights on. I woke up every hour. I think subconsciously I was scared. After all I was just 19 years of age. Later on, I heard a lot of ghost stories which happened in the surgical theatre, nurse quarter and wards. I was bothered by those and without much thinking, I quit and studied again. After having listened to the story about delivering a premature baby from Peggy, I wonder if I did not quit, what my life would be, a midwife, a doctor's wife...I fall into my fantasy, my dreams...
